Beautiful friends, we have some celebrating to do today! It is the one year anniversary of the podcast, AND my first book, The Weight of Our Things, is finally here!
This book has been a large part of my healing process. The fact that it’s here has shown me that I made it. Not only did I survive this horrible grief journey, but I was able to put something into the universe that would help others when they struggle to figure out, “what do I do with all the stuff?”
Here’s some excerpts for you:
It is my hope that this book will serve as a guide to support you as you navigate the dual challenges of managing both the tangible legacies and your intangible emotions. This book offers a compassionate lens through which to view the process of healing, letting go, and honoring the memory of those you’ve lost. This journey can be a profound testament to love, resilience, and the enduring weight of connection.
Julie Martella, The Weight of Our Things
It is my highest honor to work with people who have suffered the traumatic loss of a death and help them re-imagine life and home. Together, we work to assess their living spaces then transform them into functional, organized, and nurturing environments that enhance their well-being and quality of life.
I am here for you when you are ready to deal with the legacy you’ve been handed. I am here when you’re finally ready to let go, and it doesn’t matter if it’s been three weeks or ten years.

Friend, let’s celebrate together! You are on the most difficult journey of your life, and I am here to help.
